Tigers roar to victory at Grazettes Primary

The Cave House White Tigers once again showcased their athletic prowess, registering a commanding victory at the Grazettes Primary School Inter-House Sports event held at the Carlton Playing Field on Wednesday.

Maintaining their stronghold on the title for yet another year, the Tigers amassed an impressive 776 points, solidifying their remarkable streak of consecutive victories over the past several years.

Knight House, while putting up a commendable effort, finished in second place with 731 points, while King House finished third with 650 points.

One of the standout performers of the day was six-year-old Shani Scantlebury, who delivered a stellar performance for the Tigers.

Competing in the Under-9 girls’ division, Scantlebury won the 80 metres, 100m, and 200m events, while also guiding Cave House to victory in the relay events.

Zion Forde, representing King House, also demonstrated his athleticism by clinching victories in the Under-9 boys’ 80m, 100m, and 200m races.

Kahliyah Lane, also competing for King House, emerged victorious in the Under-11 girls’ 100m and 200m events.

However, she faced tough competition from her fellow housemate, Tiara Lloyd in the 300m, where King House grabbed the top three positions with Tiara Harte finishing third.

Malique Bonitto of Cave House showcased his speed and endurance by claiming victory in the Under-11 boys’ 100m, 200m, and 300m races. Notably, he outperformed Javonte Doughlin of Knight House in two of the three races (100m and 200m).

In the Under-13 girls’ division, King House’s Raniya Cox stood out by winning both the 100m and 200m races. Trinity Lynch of the Tigers had to settle for second place in both events.

The relay events witnessed the dominance of Cave House, winning all but the mixed 4x50m event, which was won by King House where the Tigers settled for a second-place finish. (RT)
