The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has issued a severe thunderstorm warning as lightning activity affects the island.
The BMS says an approaching tropical wave in conjunction with an upper level trough is generating the unstable conditions.
This warning will be updated or terminated at 11 a.m. or sooner if conditions warrant.
