No school at St Paul’s Primary Monday

The Ministry of Education has issued a notice stating that there will be no school at St. Paul’s Primary School on Monday as the school undergoes partial relocation and testing in the hall.

According to the release, a letter was sent, by the principal, to parents and guardians of the St. Paul’s Primary School “outlining relocation plans for some of the classes”.

Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 5,  when Infants A, Infants B and some Class 4 students report to the Seventh Day Adventist Conference Centre, which is located nearby at the top of Britton’s Cross Road, St. Michael.

All other classes will report to St. Paul’s for in-person classes as usual.

The statement further indicates that: “During this temporary relocation, further testing will be carried out on the school hall which has been the source of concern for teachers. Subsequent to the initial testing which found no irregularities, it was decided that the hall will undergo further testing, in order to allay the fears of those who use the space for various activities.”

The ministry explained that partial relocation will remain in place until the results and recommendations from the latest round of testing are completed.

“Parents will be provided with further updates in due course.  The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training thanks all who have been affected by these changes, for their patience at this time”, the release said. (PR)
