Assessment of living conditions continues until next month

The public is reminded that the first stage of the Country Assessment of Living Conditions (CALC) will continue until the end of February.

Enumerators are visiting households across the island to interview residents about their socio-economic habits and patterns.

The survey is expected to produce household-level data for evaluating the effectiveness of the government’s socio-economic programmes and policies and aims to improve the lives of all citizens.

Householders are encouraged to cooperate with the enumerators who are wearing branded polo shirts and carrying authorised identification cards.

Persons are also reminded that the information being collected is necessary to assist the government to better meet people’s needs.

For more information on the CALC, persons may call, or send a message, via WhatsApp to the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, at 536-4673, or email living.conditions@barbados.gov.bb.
