Get ready to Live the Vibez as Barbados Reggae Weekend (BRW) returns with a bang, promising an unforgettable three-day musical journey.
Over the weekend of Friday, April 25, the National Botanical Gardens will transform into a reggae lover’s paradise, featuring an impressive lineup of legendary artistes and rising stars that’s sure to captivate audiences from around the globe.
The ultimate entertainment weekend kicks off that Friday with the Legends of Reggae Show, followed by Showdown on Saturday, before culminating with Reggae in the Gardens on Sunday.
Speaking on Wednesday night at the launch of the second installment hosted at Sandals Royal Barbados Ballroom at Maxwell Coast Road in Christ Church, Director of BRW, Ryan Brathwaite, reflected on their success, noting that last year’s edition attracted over 25 000 patrons over the three-day period.
Brathwaite emphasised the team’s commitment to excellence: “Our vision is to provide quality entertainment. It’s not just about hosting events; we want to create an unforgettable experience.
“Our logistics are second to none. BRW has a way of doing things a cut above the rest unapologetically, and this year we have introduced some new features to BRW.”
Among the add-ons, there will be wheelchair access into the venue and the Transport Board will provide a shuttle service to various destinations across the island after the event.
Ticket packages are available for the US market, and Brathwaite highlighted the event’s alignment with the We Gatherin’ initiative, encouraging Barbadians from all walks of life to return home for the celebration.
