Three men were arraigned before Madam Justice Pamela Beckles on Thursday in separate sexual assault and buggery cases, one of which involves a four-year-old child.
Owen Oscar Bowen of Regency Park, Christ Church is facing a five-count indictment that sometime between July 1 and 31, 2011, he had sexual intercourse with a 10-year-old girl; that between September 1 and 30, 2011, he had sexual intercourse with the same minor; and that between October 1, 2011 and October 14, 2014, he had sexual intercourse with the same child who was between 10 and 13 years old.
Bowen is also charged with having sexual intercourse with the same girl, then 14 years old, between October 15, 2014 and October 14, 2016; and committing buggery against the same victim between July 1, 2011 and November 18, 2016.
Bowen pleaded not guilty to all charges and will return to court on March 18 to be served with fresh disclosure documents and to have trial dates set.
Dominique Alleyne of Webb Hill, St Philip is charged with three counts of buggery of a boy. It is alleged that on September 23, 2019, he buggered the 14-year-old; that on October 9, 2019, he buggered the same boy; and that on October 14, 2019, he buggered him again. Bowen pleaded not guilty to all charges. The case was adjourned until March 13 for mention and to set trial dates.
Meanwhile, Anderson Roach of Merricks, St. Philip is facing one count of having sexual intercourse with a four-year-old child.
The offence is alleged to have taken place between June 1 and 5, 2020.
Roach, who also pleaded not guilty, has to be back in court on March 13 to receive copies of his pre-trial documents and to have trial dates set. Michael Lashley KC is appearing amicus curiae on his behalf.
