A 21-year-old man was remanded to Dodds Prison on Monday after being charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Jaleeo Javan Amar Phillips, of Factory Avenue, Wildey, St Michael, is accused of having a firearm without a valid licence and seven rounds of ammunition on March 5.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charges.
He informed the court that Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens and attorney Kristin Vanderpool were his lawyers, though neither was present in court.
Magistrate Alison Burke remanded him to Dodds Prison until April 7.
