The City of Bridgetown Cooperative Credit Union (COB) has appointed Marcus Myers as its new Marketing Manager. Myers leads the marketing department, focusing on the organisation’s strategic growth initiatives.
Myers brings with him a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the West Indies and a Professional Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University. He is currently pursuing a Professional Certification from the Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin. With experience in digital marketing and communications, Myers previously worked as an independent digital marketer and served as the Information Officer at the Barbados Accreditation Council.
Additionally, Myers is recognised for his work in media, co-founding the online infotainment series, Research and Some Sense. He has also appeared on CBC’s Mornin’ Barbados and created the INO Podcast, said to be the longest-running podcast in Barbados.
Expressing his enthusiasm for joining COB, Myers said: “COB started with ten Barbadians who had difficulty accessing funds from other financial institutions. In less than 40 years, it has grown to almost 70,000 people. This Barbadian story is one that resonates with me, and I look forward to contributing to its legacy.”
Richard Black, Chief Business Development Officer, welcomed Myers: “We are thrilled to welcome Marcus Myers to our team at COB. As we cross the milestone of our 40th anniversary, his unique insights and expertise in marketing and communications promise to enrich our organization.”
